The U.S. Army Heritage Museum: Organized in 2000, the museum compliments the U.S. Army Military History Institute through its collection of artifacts, artwork and objects, many of which are connected to the archival holdings of MHI, but all directly related to the service of individual soldiers throughout the nation's history. The museum collects, preserves and interprets the material culture left to us by soldiers and veterans. The objects are silent witnesses to the history and role of the U.S. Army in the development and protection of the United States. Interpretation is through exhibits, programs and publications. Collections are made available through changing exhibits and to researchers. A small selection is available online for research and will be updated as the information becomes available.
